When you are on the slopes it is important to wear the right snowboarding gear.
In cold conditions layers is the way to go. It is better to have 3 layers of
clothes on you than just one big thick top. So then taking this into account
the first item of clothing to wear is a thermal top. This keeps the heat in and
the cold out. This should fit tightly over your torso. Also depending on how cold it
is you should also get thermal pair of snowboarding pants. This is not always necessary but if
you are out all day on the slopes it is advisable to have one especially
if temperatures are cold.

The final first layer you will need are socks. A thick pair of wolly warm socks are best,
and if you can, get a pair of snowboarding socks. These can be got at most outdoor adventure
or specialised snowboarding shops.

Now the next thing to get is an outer top that will keep you warm. A fleece or
woolen top will do the job perfectly. On top of that you will need a snowboarding jacket.
Get a jacket that is waterproof and wind proof. Make sure the jacket hangs just below the waist.
This stops snow from when you fall, going down your trousers.

The final two pieces of clothing you will need is a hat and gloves. Most heat that is lost
from the human body escapes from your head, so it is very important that you cover it up.
Select a warm hat that covers your ears, you'll be thankful that you did. Get special
snowboarding gloves as they have extra padding near the wrist and the palm to protect your
hand if succome to a fall.

You now ready to hit those slopes safe in the knowledge that you will stay
warm and dry. Go to the accessories section for goggles and
Helmets.
